Event Scheduling Module
The new Events module allows you to keep track of upcoming events, such as potlucks, worship services, choir rehearsals, or virtually anything else you have going on.

Membership Improvements
- Hit the F3 key for a Searchable Contact List of Personal Profiles from any screen
- Auto-complete City, State, and ZIP fields
- Personal Profile lookup lists now display contact information and photo
- Update Outlook Contacts directly from Personal Profiles menu
- New Quick Tag screens in Family Mailing List and Personal Profiles allow you to do all your tagging from one screen, rather than looking up each family or profile individually
- Membership Reports:
- New Activity Name Tags report
- New Visitor Report shows a list of selected people present on a specific day, with a listing of previous dates attended
- Personal Profile phones (work, mobile, pager) are able to be included on Church Directories
- Select and sort by roles on Attendance Register Forms
- Selected Activities & Skills report can be run for specific Personal Status codes
- Pictorial Directory can be run for specific Personal Status codes
- Consecutive Absentee report now allows you to include only current members of the activity

- It is now possible to select by a range of activities and a range of absences on the Consecutive Absentee Report in Attendance.
- The Absentee Labels/Mail Merge option in Attendance has been improved. You can now print labels or create the file to use within a mail merge based on either the absent or present status and even choose based on the percentage absent or present.
- The program will now automatically change the Adult Y/N field under Personal Profiles to Y whenever someone becomes an adult. The age someone is considered an adult is entered under the Dates tab of the Personal Profiles Setup options screen.
Contributions Improvements
- User-defined Contribution Types (credit card, online, etc)
- Repeating Contributions save you time in recording scheduled, recurring donations, such as automatic bank drafts
- Import online contributions from Paperless Payments
- Additional pledge tracking information (when entered or modified, by whom)
- Additional contribution posting information (when posted, by whom)
- Print mailing labels or create a mail merge file for new or updated pledges
- Built in support for USB check readers. No external software necessary
- Contributions Reports:
- New First Time Contributors report
- New Unused Envelope Numbers report
- New Pledged/Unpledged Totals report displays pledge and non-pledge totals by fund
- New Monthly Contribution Totals report shows a monthly total for each contributor or as a summary
- New Fund Totals by Envelope report displays a total for each contributor by fund
- All reports with contributor information can now be sorted alphabetically or by envelope number
- The Posted Contributions report can now be run for specific fund numbers
- Fund Descriptions report can now be sorted by Fund Name or Fund Number
- Bank Deposit Slip (Unposted Contributions) now supports pre-printed deposit slip forms
- Option to select by contribution type has been added to the following reports in Contributions: Funds Report, Funds Report by Date, Monthly Contribution Totals, Unposted Contributions, Selected Contributors and Fund Totals by Envelope.
- Contribution type is now included on the following reports: Full Fund Detail and Daily Amount layouts of the Contribution Statements, Unposted Contributions, Posted Contributions and Repeating Contributions.
- A "Reassign a Fund Number" option in Contributions. Use this feature to change a contribution fund number or combine two funds together.
Accounting Improvements
- Option to print account distributions on Accounts Payable check stub
- Maintain Tax Tables now looks more like the Circular E tables
- Can now have up to 18 accounting months open at a time
- Support for new Canadian check formats
- Accounting Reports:
- New 1099 Vendors List report prints 1099 totals for each vendor
- New W2 Items report displays the W2 setup for each payroll item
- Vendor Activity Summary now shows vendor 1099 flags
- Variance columns added to the Income & Expense Statement
- Check Register By Fund report can now be sorted by date or by check number
- When printing checks in Accounts Payable, the program now displays a listing of all open invoices for checks that have not been written and allows you to choose which invoices you want to print checks for. Similarly, when posting, a listing of all unposted manual and computer checks is displayed for you to choose which ones to post.
- A "Reassign Vendor ID" option in Accounts Payable. Use this feature to change a vendor ID or combine two vendors together.
- The program now checks the "end of employment" date on each employee's record and if there is a date in that field prior to the current system date, the program will not print a check for that employee.
- Option to include account numbers on the Balance Sheet and Income and Expense Statement.
- Option to include budget amounts on the Sub-account Report in Fund Accounting.
- Include next year's budget amounts on the Income and Expense Statement report.
- The Budget Report can now be run at different summary levels, like the Income and Expense Statement and Balance Sheet reports.
Other Improvements
- Quick Tasks menu allows you to customize a list of frequently used menu options for easy access
- Backup to and Restore from any folder on your computer, including USB thumb drives
- Password Group Profiles make it much easier to set up groups of users that share the same security privileges
- PowerChurch users can now link their Personal Profile record to their User Profile record
- Resizable screens keep scrolling to a minimum and allow you to “zoom in” on small pictures
- Equipment Inventory interface has been redesigned to more easily manage multiple instances of the same type of item and the items’ locations
- The Bulk E-mail utility now supports e-mail servers that require a secure connection using SSL or TLS.
- The Backup and Restore utility now supports the use of DVD burners and DVD player/CD burner combo drives for backing up data.
- If an Internet connection is available, a message box will automatically come up when starting the program if a new Maintenance Release is available.
Easy Conversion Process
There is never a need to re-enter any information when upgrading to a new version of PowerChurch Plus. Each update installs as a separate program, and the first time you run the new version, data from your previous version will be converted automatically.
